UW ESRI Site License
The State of Washington has a site license for some ESRI products; this license applies to Institutions of Public Higher Education. Ths page describes how the license applies to the University of Washington. If you have questions about the site license, send e-mail to Phil Hurvitz <phurvitz u.washington.edu>.
Restrictions:
The site license allows general site licensed ESRI software to be used only
on University equipment, and on University-related non-commercial projects. If you are a student and want to install ArcGIS software on your personally owned computer, see the list of available software.
Site licensed ESRI software cannot be installed on non-UW owned
computers, including student, faculty, or staff owned computers.
Site licensed ESRI software cannot be used for any project that
generates a profit.
Site licensed ESRI software cannot be used for any project that
is not related to UW coursework, management, or research.
Site licensed ESRI software cannot be used for any project which
competes in any way with private sector activities.

Take courses at UW that include GIS instruction
Take courses from ESRI, including those that are available at no cost to UW students, staff, and faculty
