Overview

This course uses the textbook:

Introduction to GIS: The ARC/INFO Method (Version 7.0 for UNIX & Windows NT)
ISBN 1879102013
available from ESRI or Amazon.com.

You will need to order a copy of the text if it is not available at the University Book Store.

Following is an outline of the course, which parallels the text. I will be adding suggestions and comments where necessary, either to correct possible errors or oversights, or to add ancillary or illuminating information. Any comments on these lessons will be greatly appreciated.

Because the course is focused on using ARC/INFO on the NT platform, some of the comments are related directly to operating system contingencies, which are not addressed in the UNIX & OpenVMS text. If you have the UNIX & NT text, you will have the OS commands explained in detail.
